Margaret Perry, 83, of Coatesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Tel-Hai Retirement Community of Honey Brook. She was the widow of the late Frank E. Perry who died in 1995. They had shared 41 years of marriage. Born in Barberton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Stroncer Vickek. Margaret was a graduate of the Barberton High School, class of 1947. She and her husband moved to Coatesville in 1955.
In 1968, she was employed by the Coatesville Area Schools and had worked at the East Fallowfield School and CAT of Brandywine retiring as head cook in 1994. Margaret was an active member of the Coatesville Bible Fellowship and their Needle Guild Club and The First Presbyterian Church of Coatesville. She was also a former member of the Coatesville Jaycees. Her interests included gardening, crocheting, spending time with family, and making family picture albums.
She is survived by four children; JoAnne Perry Beverley of Coatesville, formerly of Martinsburg, WV, Richard A. Perry and wife Dorothy of East Earl, PA, Frank C. Perry and wife Rene of Birdsboro, PA and Dennis K. Perry and wife Kim of Coatesville, Grandchildren; Brian and Kreg Beverley, Chad (wife Diane), Corbin, Zion, and Elijah Perry, Capri, Haley and Madison Perry, and Chelsea Connah (husband Patrick) and Colby Perry. Great Grandsons; Cole Perry, Declan Connah, and Mason Paolo. Three sisters; Martha Kercher, her twin sister, of Seattle, WA, Katherine Booth of Clearwater, FL and Julia Teahan of Largo, FL.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 10:00 am to the time of the service. Interment will be held the following day at 1:00 pm at the St. Gabriel Cemetery, Benton, PA. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Margaret to the Tel-Hai Care Assurance Fund, 1200 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, PA 19344.
