Margaret M. "Peg" Long, 90, of Glenmoore, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 17, 2012. She was the wife of John Long who died in 1997 and her first husband Earl Miller who died in 1963. Born in Madera, PA she was the daughter of the late Wasco and Mary Russian Moskel.
Peg, formerly of Sadsburyville, was a member of the Doe Run Presbyterian Church. She was employed by Bentley and Harris of Glenmoore and during WWII she served as a security guard in a former gunpowder plant located in Elkton, MD.
She is survived by one daughter Donna Lee Trace and husband Paul of Glenmoore, two siblings Robert Moskel of Coatesville and Julia Sharrer of Modena and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven siblings; Jack, Pete, George, Sue, Toby, Ann and Marian.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg followed by interment at the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery in East Fallowfield. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing which will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8:00 pm and also Wednesday morning from 10 to 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Willow Tree Hospice, 100 Sycamore Dr., West Grove, PA 19390.
