Elementary School Memory
What a sweet Lady! I am 65 years old and went to Kings Hwy School and Mrs. Hanaway was a dear sweet Lady. She was not only especially kind but had a memory I could only wish for... I was a teenager driving and had to take my little brother to school late one day and when I walked into that office she not only called me by my first name she knew my last name as well! I am truly sorry for your loss.
Fireworks
Every 4th of July I always think about her and our special time watching the fireworks. She will always be special to me. I am going to miss her precious smile.
She will be missed!
This is so very sad. Margie Hanaway was a lovely person. I remember her dearly. In my youth I was in her choir. When my girls were young they were also in her choir. She had generations of children in her choir at Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church. As a Deacon I visited her often. I looked forward to our chats. She will be missed.
Blessings to Lynn and Leanne,
Martha Scott Gay

Leanne and Family,
Leanne and Family,
I am so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. She was a friend and classmate of my mother, Laura and having been our elementary school secretary, I thought of her as my friend too. She was a dear soul and will be greatly missed.
Leann, I was so blessed
Leann, I was so blessed throughout my childhood to have "Aunt Marggie" as our childrens choir director! Such wonderful, precious memories!! And i know my mom and dad would say the same, as they were pew partners for many years! Prayers for you and your family!
Thinking of the families
Many wonderful memories of a grand lady. She always had a smile to share. No one else could have talked me into singing a solo, in my pj’s at a Christmas party for the secretaries. That was way, way back. She had our twins in choir and was always an encourager to children and big children too. Praying for all of you, Jane and Michael McDevitt
