Margaret E. Jackson, 82, of New Holland, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 19, 2020. She was the wife of Charles W. Jackson for over 58 years. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Eber L. and Caroline Coulder Kurtz.
She attended the Coatesville Area Schools and was a self-employed bookkeeper for the family business, B & J Disposal. She was a member of the New Holland Church of the Nazarene and she attended the LCBC Church in Ephrata. Margaret loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She enjoyed country line Dancing and going to country and Bluegrass music concerts with her husband.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Lawrence Barrage and wife, Linda, Robert Barrage and wife, Dee Dee, Warren Barrage, Charles Jackson, Terri Stoltzfus and husband, Marlin, step-son, Thomas Taylor and wife, Barbara, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. She also has 7 step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren, and 5 step great-great-grandchildren. Brothers, Robert Kurtz and wife, Kitty, and Arthur Kurtz, and a sister, Jacqueline Steffe. She was preceded in death by two children, Barbara Jean and James, brothers Eber Kurtz, Bill Kurtz, Thomas Kurtz, sisters Ethel Wanner, Edna Beiler, Marjorie Gay, Anna Grow.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Caring Hospice at 101 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA, 17603.
