George C. Foraker, 91, of Lower Oxford Twp., passed away at his home on Friday, August 6, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Luella Sturgil Foraker with whom he shared 70 years of marriage. Born in Townsend, Delaware, he was the son of the late George C. Foraker and Alice Daniels Foraker.
George was an area resident most of his life. He was employed as a truck driver. He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by six children; George C. Foraker, Jr. and wife Dottie of CONN., Franklin Foraker of Delaware, Daniel Foraker of Oxford, Judy Lephew and husband Harold of Oxford, Diane Clawson and husband David of Elkton, MD and David Foraker and wife Tammy of Akron, PA, 16 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and two sisters; Bessie Dove of Elkton, MD and Sandra Hardyman of W. VA. He was preceded in death by three siblings; Franklin Foraker, Joseph Foraker and sister Alice.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Baptist Church, 1 E. Highland Road, Parkesburg, PA 19365 followed by burial at the Glen Run Baptist Cemetery, Atglen, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 10:00 AM.
