Frederick C. Schreiber, III, 66, of Parkesburg, passed away on Monday, November 1st, 2021 at his home. He was the husband of Shawnee (Farris) Schreiber, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, Ric was the son of the late Dorothy (nee Warren) and Frederick C. Schreiber, Jr. An area resident his entire life, he was a graduate of Coatesville Area High School and worked as Shift Manager at the former Lukens Steel, now known as Cleveland-Cliffs, of Coatesville. Ric previously served as an EMS Lieutenant and volunteer at Parkesburg Fire Co.
He was a gifted woodworker and photographer, who enjoyed collecting guns and listening to music, especially Eric Clapton. He liked reading thrillers and gravitated towards Tom Clancy and James Patterson books. He enjoyed watching MeTV, regularly watching MASH, The Andy Griffith Show, Gun Smoke, Bonanza, Baa Baa Black Sheep, and anything with John Wayne.
In addition to his wife, he's survived by his beloved children: Rachel Schreiber and partner Nathan Finley, of Parkesburg, and Josh Schreiber, husband of Jenn, of East Fallowfield; grandsons, Dylan, Jon, and Blake; sister, Carole Zeaser, wife of Dave, of Dillsburg; and his former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Russell, wife of Adam Weaver, of Atglen.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Coatesville Bible Fellowship, 6 N. 4th Ave, Coatesville, PA 19320. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation period from 2 PM until the start of the service.
