Franklin Earl "Skip" Lammey Jr.
Franklin Earl "Skip" Lammey Jr., 91, of Gilbertsville, PA, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Daylesford Crossing in Paoli, PA. He was the husband of the late Joyce Scott Lammey who passed away in 2017 after 61 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Franklin E. Sr. and Margaret Smith Lammey.
Frank was a 1955 graduate from Duke University and worked as a management consultant for Coopers and Lybrand. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a long-time and faithful member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Malvern, PA where he served as an Elder, taught Sunday School, participated in Promise Keepers, went on mission trips to Mexico, sang in the choir and much more. When he couldn't attend in person, he watched online, including singing out loud with all the music! He was a talented piano player, playing for a mystery dinner theater, accompanying Joyce on the organ or just jazzing up simple songs with runs and trills. He and Joyce loved to travel and they hit all 50 states over the years, which is attested to by the thousands of pictures in dozens of neatly organized photo albums.
He is survived by his daughters, Terry (Robert) Bellevou of Gilbertsville, Diane Kleinschmidt of Lusby, MD, and Margaret (Donald) Demuth of Goshen, KY, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. They (and others) will miss his sense of humor (those at Covenant and Wellington will remember his comedy routines), his smile, laugh and his attention to detail when decorating for Christmas, but will never forget his example of perseverance in trials and his strong Christian faith. It is this shared faith that gives comfort to the family even as they grieve his loss.
A memorial service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Frazer, on Saturday March 1st. When more details are finalized the information will be posted here. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association or Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
