Eugene Allen Trego, Sr.

Eugene Allen Trego, Sr., 73, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, November 20th under the care of Newport Meadows in Christiana.  He was the beloved husband of Aletta (Gaskill) Trego, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.  

Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Katherine Marie (Witherow) and Francis Allen Trego, Sr.  

Eugene worked as a heavy equipment operator for H.E. Trego Construction and Excavating.  He worked every day of his life to support his family and enjoyed doing his work with pride.  

He enjoyed restoring muscle cars and street racing.  He also enjoyed dancing, going to the beach, and, in his younger years, playing Roller Derby.  He always knew how to make his family and friends laugh.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his three sons; Allen Eugene Trego, Jr., companion of Becky Salada, of Coatesville, Leonard Francis Trego, companion of Nancy Wright, of Honey Brook, and Thomas Roy Trego, companion of Jessica Berrier of Coatesville, 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren five siblings; Jeanie White, Shannon Blevins, Donnie Trego, Lee Trego, and Jerry Trego, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his good friend and caretaker, John Oteri.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
