I was saddened to hear of Elmers passing. I had the privilege to work with Elmer at Rainbow School as the evening Head custodian. After Elmers retirement I moved to the Daytime position as Head custodian. Elmer taught me alot over the years and I credit him with preparing me with the skills I needed to do the job he did for so many years. There are still some things Elmer showed me that only Elmer knew how to do. Such as - If you didn't have a ladder tall enough to change that light bulb. Hang from the rafter with one arm and change the bulb with your free hand!! I never quite mastered that one!!! That was Elmers attitude! If you had a job to do you did that job no matter how you had to do it ! Elmer was a true tough guy with a huge heart! When we would take our breaks he would often talk about his family. You could tell how much he loved his family and how much they meant to him. Whenever he would talk about his Grandkids he would light up with pride! He was proud of his service to our Country and was a true patriot! I missed working with Elmer when he retired but he left me and everyone he worked with at Rainbow memories and good times that we'll never forget! God Bless - Tim
