Elisabeth A. "Lisa" Haines, 82, of Exton, formerly of Thorndale, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at her home in Sunrise of Exton. She was the widow of Ellis J. "Jim" Haines who passed away in August of 2014.
Born in Ulm, Germany, Elisabeth was the daughter of the late Elisabeth and Karl Bayerl.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Coatesville.
Elisabeth is survived by her daughters, Susan Durborow (Jim) and Barbara Haines, and sons, Robert Haines (Sandy) and Thomas Haines (Jennifer), as well as nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and her brother, Karlheinz Bayerl of Germany.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 11 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 107 S 17th Ave, Coatesville, PA 19320. Lisa and her husband will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

I was so saddened when Lisa's daughter Sue emailed the news of her mother's passing. I met Lisa many years ago at the Post Polio support group she had started. I will greatly miss a very special friend. My sincere sympathy to Lisa's family.
