Edward C. Detterline Hess, 59, of Cochranville, died at his home on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Born in Paoli, he was the son of the late Henry and Sarah Detterline Hess.
An area resident all his life, he was employed by the Fenceworks Company of West Chester.
He is survived by one sister, Pamela J. Fonseca (Miguel) of Cochranville and four nephews; Michael Fonseca of Ohio, Ben Fonseca of Parkesburg, Dustin and Diego Fonseca both of Cochranville.
Memorial services and celebration will be held on Saturday, September, 19, 2015 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Fenceworks Company, 1200 West Street Road, West Chester, PA 19382.

Ed always acted happy to see us and did whatever we asked of him, including making my beautiful planters. Fenceworks won't be the same without him and we will miss his cheerful presence. May he rest in peace.
