Claire B. Williams, 82, of Coatesville, passed away at the Pocopson Home on Saturday, August 31, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth S. Williams with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth Bricker Benge. 
Claire was a 1948 graduate of the former Scott High School. She continued her education at the Chester County School of Nursing and in 1968 received a Bachelors Degree at West Chester University. Mrs. Williams was employed for 35 years at he Coatesville VA Medical center retiring as head nurse.
She was a faithful member of the Wagontown Union Chapel.
She is survived, in addition to her husband, by two children; Keith Williams and wife Rebecca of Marysville, Ohio and Michele W. Johnson of Royersford, PA, four grandchildren; Michael Johnson of Douglasville, Brandon Johnson of Royersford, Samantha Williams and Alexis Williams both of Marysville, Ohio and one great grandson Mason Johnson of Douglassville. 
 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11am from the Wagontown Union Chapel, 469 West Kings Highway, Coatesville, Pa, followed by interment at the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery. Viewing at the church from 10 AM until 11 AM.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Wagontown Union Chapel, P.O. Box 200, Wagontown, PA 19376 or the Alzheimers Assoc., 399 Market St. Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

I worked with Ms. Williams at the VA and was sorry to hear of her passing. I enjoyed knowing her and have many fond memories of our VA days. Her family is in my prayers.

I enjoyed working with Claire for a few years at the Coatesville Va . She was a wonderful leader and a kind and compassionate nurse.

Claire was such a wonderful Mother, Wife and Aunt. Her sense of humor and her love for all her family is an example that will live on. She always remembered birthdays and wrote the nicest notes (if you could read her handwriting haha ).I am glad you have peace now and Thank You for being so good to us.

You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mom.
