Charlotte Ann Steczak Missimer
Charlotte Ann Steczak Missimer, 80 years old, who lived with her family in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, danced into Heaven on June 9, 2022. She was the wife of the late Donald J. Missimer, who died in January 2017. They shared 60 loving years together. Charlotte was born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Laus Steczak.
She was a resident of Coatesville, was employed as a food server at East Fallowfield Elementary School for 15 years, and then worked for SuperFresh Grocery Stores until her retirement in 2012. She was a member of the Olivet United Methodist Church in Coatesville. She dearly loved her family and her companion kitty, Molly.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Christopher and Corrine of Bruceton Mills,West Virginia, Douglas and Sharon of Bristol, Pennsylvania and Dawn and Aaron of Ephrata, Pennsylvania. She was Mom Mom to Angel and Chris Norton, Crystal and Sidney Bernstein, Brittany Matuson and Brandon McFadden, Mikhaila Missimer and Ryan Cretens, Peyton Missimer, Kirk Powell, Brooklyn Powell, and Jackson Powell. She adored her great-grandchildren Tobias and Miles Berstein. She was blessed to have bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Matt, Jocelynn, and Knox Fike, and Lakin Mouser, Jenna Clark, and Landry. Siblings include Brother Jack, Susan, Ryan and Jared Steczak of North-East, Maryland, and Brother Robert, Sheila, Erica and Chad Steczak of East Earl, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews. Her loving nieces, Roxanna and Kristie, were able to visit prior to her passing. Roxanna was Donald and Charlotte’s goddaughter. She was preceded in death by sisters, Delores Steczak Wright and Elaine Steczak Babel as well as grandson, Kyle Powell.
The family would like to thank Preston Home Health Care and Amedisys Hospice Care Staff for their love and support throughout the last few months as well as Wilde Funeral Home and Kingwood Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be held on Don and Charlotte’s Anniversary, June 27, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Fairview Cemetery, 786 Oak St., Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Full military honors will be provided for Donald J. Missimer at the time of the graveside service.
