Thanks, Bev, for a life well lived.
I seldom get to Parkesburg more than 2-3 times per year (and some might say even that is too many), but about a year ago I met a good friend for coffee one morning at Seawell's Market, after having heard many good things about that place. It was more-or-less an "Old Home Day" event - in addition to many other fine Parkesburg folk from long ago, I also had the honor of encountering Bev & Les, and having a good long dialogue with them. And now that event is my final memory of Bev, and what a great one it is. Rest in peace, Bev - and thank you for your friendship and dedication to every cause that had merit.
Our condolences

Losing A Friend

Lester, my old friend. I was sorry to read of the terrible loss you suffered. My own wife suffered a stroke in early December and I recall how lost and frightened I felt until she came home. Now what I feared for myself has happened to a good guy like yourself and it is upsetting.
I did not know your wife but from the newspaper accounts she was a wonderful lady and the world is less at her passing. I'm sorry things like this happen.
Take care,
