Condolences

We will miss you Mommom. We have so many memories of our childhood when we would come and stay at your house. We loved playing in the garage when you had the garage sales. All of us will miss your advice and good conversation when we came for a visit. You always loved when we could sit down and talk for a bit. You made the best sausage gravy and biscuits and cornbread.

My daughters loved spending time with you either sitting on the porch or at the kitchen table just talking. They always smiled and laughed about the stories you would tell.

We love you and will forever hold you close. Rest In Peace Mommom

Fred, Tom and Ed,

I'm so sorry to hear of your moms passing.

I have very fond memories of both Elwood and Beulah.

She always included me and many of the other boys in the neighborhood when it was time for lunch.

I'm sure we will all remember how great her choclate gravy was.

Take care and may GOD BLESS you and all your famlies.

I was so blessed to have had you for 47 years. From being a child and staying over with my cousins, vacationing down south and trips to Cowtown, NJ. Then to all the holidays and visiting with my own children. I cherished every visit and memory we have. You were quite a spitfire and strong lady. I know you were tired  and also lived a long happy life. But are deffinently at peace now. It's what makes me smile. Even though my heart is broke . While the Covid made this year more challenging then ever. And you didn't quite understand the zoom and window visits - I'm still glad we had them. I love you so very much and will miss you until we meet again.

Ed, Tom, Fred, spouses, children, and grandchildren: So sorry to hear of your loss. Always loved hearing Beulah's southern drawl and especially got a kick out of hearing her chastise her boys for something! I think Andrea said it best in that she was a 'spitfire'. She may have been short in stature but in true 'Lewis fashion', would take guff from no one! We won’t be able to attend Monday but please know that our love, thoughts, and prayers will be with you all❤️🙏

There never was and there never will be another woman as sweet as your mom. I will never forget her as long as I live. Visiting her home was the highlight of my day. She was full of pure kindness and love. We always had a laugh or two and always had fun at her home. I love the flowers that she grew on her porch and her amazing African violets. She had the greenest thumb and could grow anything. I remember she taught me how to cook rhubarb. I never had it before. I used to love the way she made cornbread in a skillet and bake it and then wrap it in a nice clean dish cloth. Her house always smelled like flowers and good cooking. I never heard her say an unkind word about anybody and she was caring of everyone. She worried about the kids who did not get Christmas presents and about people who needed help. She loved her kids with all her heart. She appreciated everything. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I know she is with the Lord in heaven. I thank God that I got to know her and got to spend time with her. God bless and comfort you and all your wonderful family always! Love, Ann (home health nurse)
