Betty Franciscus, 79, of Christiana, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the widow of the late Walter Franciscus.
Born in Lancaster County, Betty was the daughter of the late Bessie (Cummings) and William Price. An area resident her entire life, Betty had been employed by the Anderson Pretzel Factory.
She was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church of Paradise.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Linda Rynier of Atglen; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one brother, Aldus Price of Parkesburg. She was predeceased by two sisters and one brother.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Glen Run Cemetery of Atglen. The viewing will be from 10 until 11 AM.

We are so sorry to hear about Aunt Betty's passing. She was one of the sweetest women we have ever known. Our thoughts & prayers are with Linda & the rest of her family.

Betty was our neighbor for years and one of the sweetest woman I have ever met. We have many wonderful fond memories that we will cherish and have been blessed to have Betty for our neighbor.
Aunt Betty wasn't just a
Aunt Betty wasn't just a person to us. She was a gift from God. She will be missed terribly. We will hold her in our hearts forever until we meet again in Heaven. She was our cousin but she always felt like an Aunt to us. The moment we found out she passed away, it felt like a piece of our heart was broken into two pieces especially my wife's heart. The love we had for her was enough to last a lifetime. We will miss you Aunt Betty, take care of all our relatives in heaven. Love you!
