Arthur James "Dutch" Feister, 82, of Wagontown, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at the Brandywine Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Martha E. Pratt Feister with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Paradise, he was the son of the late Jacob and Dorothy Goldsworthy Feister.
Dutch completed high school in West Chester. He served honorably in the Army National Guard. He was employed at Downingtown Ironworks, Keens Service Corp. and mostly recently as a Pipeline Mechanic for Williams Transcontinental Gas Pipeline. He also enjoyed farming . He was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church and the Masonic Lodge No. 383 of Coatesville.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two sons, George Feister and wife Marianne of Wagontown and Gerald Feister and wife Kathy of Newtown, PA, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and three sisters; Betty Gregg of Paradise, Doris Harnish and husband Edward of Lancaster and Shirley Weaver and husband William of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Dwight Feister and Robert William Feister, three sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Cornerstone Fellowship Church, 101 Kylies Road, Coatesville, PA 19320 followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Cornerstone Fellowship Church at the above address or to a charity of your choice.
