Ruth Ann "Sis" Wolfe, 87, of Parkesburg died on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert G. Wolfe with whom she shared 67 years of marriage. Born in the village of Towerville, she was the daughter of the late Harry P. McEwing, Sr. and Ruth Wilson Taylor and stepdaughter to the late Reba McEwing who raised her. 

Sis was a Parkesburg resident all her life and a 1949 graduate of the former Parkesburg High School. She was employed as a telephone operator and later was employed by the Octorara School District as a cook in the school cafeteria. 

She was a member of the Parkesburg United Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon, she was a volunteer Girl Scout Leader and coached girls softball teams.

She is survived, in addition to her husband, by three children; Barbara Hery and husband James of Belfast, TN, Judith Miller and husband Ronald of Parkesburg and Cindy Wolfe of Reading, PA, five grandchildren,14 great grandchildren and two half sisters; Patricia Griest of Coatesville and Kay Thomas of Cochranville. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Harry McEwing, Jr. and James McEwing. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Forks of the Brandywine Cemetery, Glenmoore, PA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the funeral home from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Bob, Barb, Judy, and Cindy......I am so sorry to hear about Sis.  I have great memories of all the time we spent together when we were kids.  Sis was a great lady.  I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.  Lots of Love!

Aunt Sis was a loving and sweet lady.  No matter what she was going through, she always had a smile on her face and kind words for everyone.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.  May your many memories get you through this most difficult time.
