Audrey Pearl Patterson

Audrey Pearl Patterson, 82, of Honey Brook, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the LifeCare Hospital in West Chester. She was the beloved wife of Elisha P. Patterson, with whom she shared 70 years of life together and 66 years of marriage.

Born on August 13, 1926 in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Vilma P. Hilton Boyd of Parkesburg. Audrey resided in Honey Brook for the past 35 years.

She is survived by four children: Elmira Mills of Christiana, Howard Patterson of Coatesville, Florence Evans of Coatesville, Deborah DiSilvestro of Coatesville and their grandson, Carl Phipps Dessenberger, of Honey Brook, who Audrey and Elisha consider as their son, raising him since he was 16 months old; one brother, Malcolm Boyd of Coatesville, 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.

Audrey was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph "Tom" Patterson and Theodore Patterson, and four siblings, Yearld Boyd, Elmira Boyd Grimes, Ruth Boyd Devlin and Paul Boyd.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 11 AM at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment in the Upper Octorara Cemetery of Parkesburg. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Funeral Home from 10 until 11 AM.
