Robert "Obie" Oberholzer, 85, of Parkesburg, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at his home.  He was the husband of Marilyn Bicking Oberholzer, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.  

Born in Philadelphia, Robert was the son of the late Anna and Francis Oberholzer.  He was a graduate of La Salle University.  

Robert served honorably in the US Army during the Korean War.  

He enjoyed fishing, watching the Phillies and the Eagles, and his dog, "Cloudy".    
He known for his great sense of humor, quick wit, loyalty, strong work ethic, graciousness, and mischievous smile. 

Robert was a parishioner of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church of Parkesburg.    

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by three children: Lisa Oberholzer, Dana McCarter, both of Parkesburg, and Kurt Oberholzer, husband of Suzanne, of Coatesville; three granddaughters, Erin Oberholzer, Nina Campli, and Morgan Oberholzer; and two siblings, Fred Oberholzer, and Marie Gentile; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three daughters Meg Robin Oberholzer, Stacey Lee Oberholzer and Kathryn “Katie” Oberholzer.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA 19365 with visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Brandywine River Valley Home Health, 121 Bell Tower Lane, Oxford, PA 19363.
