Raymond L. McLucas, 77, of Highland Township, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Hospice and Community Care Center in Mt. Joy, PA. He was the beloved husband of Noreen Travis McLucas with whom he shared 35 years with. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late George C. and A. Ruth Montgomery McLucas. 

Ray was an area resident all his life and a 1958 graduate of the former Scott High School in Coatesville. He was employed, down through the years, by Capitol Bakers, the Lukens Steel Company, Royal Paper and more recently he was a driver for several Amish families in the community. 

He was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church and lifetime member of the Polish American Club in Coatesville. He was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by seven children; Kelly McLucas and companion Beau Tilghman of West Chester, Sue Patterson and husband Ronald of Lancaster, Todd McLucas and wife Faith of Hemingway, SC, Michael McLucas and wife Sarah of Lititz, Donald Hoover and wife Audra of Birdsboro, Jodi Hoover and companion George Graves of Morgantown and Robert Travis of Morgantown, 14 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and sister-in-law Shirley McLucas of Highland Township. He was preceded in death by one brother G. Richard McLucas. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 12:00 noon from the Friendship United Methodist Church, 123 East Friendship Church Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing at the church from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA 19365 to help defray funeral expenses or to Hospice and Community Care Development Office, PO Box 4125 Lancaster, PA 17604 or to the Friendship United Methodist Church at the above address.

To the McLucas family so sorry for your loss Raywill be in our prayers and thoughts he was a very good man and treated me like a son and I was very small I will never forget the times we had in the bakery truck. He would take me in the truck with him at capital bakeries God bless you all and you will be in our thoughts and prayer

Noreen and her amazing family,

     My thoughts and prayers are with you. The love that is within this family is unable to be described by words.   Ray/Dad/PopPop was and incredible man with so much love in his heart. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.  I love you all.
