Mark Folks, 41, of Parkesburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Brandywine Hospital. Born in Coatesville, he was the beloved son of Margaret Folks of Paradise, PA.
An area resident his entire life, Mark was a 1993 graduate of Octorara Area High School. He had been employed by J.D. Eckman as a Construction Worker.
He is survived by his children: Iyonna Dixon-Folks and Isaiah Folks of Parkesburg, Terrance Laird of Honey Brook, Markori Folks of Coatesville, Jayvon Johnson of Lancaster and Christopher Simmons of Paradise; three grandchildren, Zavion Dixon, Zahir Dixon and Samiah Brau; his sister, Sarah Folks of California; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Folks; cousin, Stephanie Folks; his aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and his special friends Steve, and Jeff Towles.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 29th at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg with a viewing from 9 until 11 AM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
The Folks family requests that family and friends dress casually in a plaid shirt for the viewing and funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilde Funeral Home to help defray the cost of the funeral.

My most sincere and deepest condolences to Mark's family. I consider myself lucky to have met Mark and every time our paths crossed, he was very warm and loving towards me and never changed. His presence on earth as we know it will be sadly missed by many including myself. I was sad and shocked when I heard about your sudden departure my friend and will forever remember you as a very special and dear friend/family to me. Sadly missed and fondly remembered!
