Pauline L. "Polly" Scheetz

Pauline L. "Polly" Scheetz, 93, of Parkesburg, died on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the widow of the late Carroll W. Scheetz, Sr. who died in 1978. Born in Atglen, PA she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Anna Goodyear Detterline. Polly was an area resident all her life and a 1936 graduate of the Downingtown High School. She was employed in retail sales well into her 80's. She will be remembered working at J.C. Penny's in Coatesville and most recently the Family Dollar Store also located in Coatesville. She attended Faith Community Church of Parkesburg.

She is survived by one son Carroll W. Scheetz, Jr. and wife Joan of Parkesburg, three granddaughters; Lisa, wife of Mark Hackenburg of Elizabethtown, Dr. Leslie Scheetz, wife of Troy Bensinger of Duluth, GA and Holly, wife of Christopher Marx of Castle Rock, CO., four great grandchildren and one brother Walter M. Detterline of Honey Brook. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Shirley Ann Scheetz and two brothers J. Blayne Detterline and James R. Detterline.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing from 10 to 11:00 am.
