Richard Steven Stapleford, 60, of Glenmoore PA passed away peacefully with loved ones at his side on Sunday, December 15, 2019 after a lengthy illness. Born in West Chester, he was the son of Margaret Reign Stapleford, of Elverson, and the late Marshall Stapleford.
Rich was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. An avid hunter, known as a warrior with a big heart, he loved nature and animals. He possessed many skills, and spent most of his life building and fixing things in the construction business and in his spare time in Chester County where he lived his entire life; he owned and operated Stapleford Construction. He was always willing to lend a hand or share his skills and knowledge to help his many friends and family members.
Other than his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Michael (Dana) Stapleford of Exton, Amy Lewis of West Chester, and Anne (Taylor) Croft of Christiana, nieces Sarah and Claire Croft, and nephews, Douglas and Ryan Lewis.
A celebration of his life will take place at Liberty Union Bar and Grill at 325 Simpson Drive, Chester Springs PA on Saturday, January 18 from 1-4 PM.
