I attend West Coast Church in Florida with Joann and her daughter Jennifer. Even though I did not know Rick personally, I felt a closeness through Joann. I was so saddened to hear the news of Rick's passing. The whole family has been in my prayers ever since I heard of the his illness. Please know that the prayers do not stop with the passing, they continue for the family that are grieving for their loved one and may God give them strength to get through.

Mary & The Damiani Family,
Rick & I were truly saddened by the passing of Rick Damiani-he fought his
illness to the end with such bravery but God saw he was struggling & decided to take him into his care, he is in a better place.
However, it will be very difficult & sad for all those he has left behind.
Hopefully, the memories we hold in our hearts of the special times we spent together will help ease the burden.
We have lost a wonderful friend & he will be missed.
With deepest sympathy & love,
June & Rick Crumb

I had the privilige of knowing Rick.He was a special type of person who put his family and friends first.A very unselfish and caring gentleman who always had a kind word to say.
Rick set aside some of his time every Sunday to visit me when I was ill and the visits continued even after I was doing better.These times were very special.We talked about family,friends and fishing.I will nver forget the time together.
My thoughts are with you Mary and we will keep you and your boys in our prayers.

Rick,I know you are listening.Save some of the big fish for us!

Dear Joe & Janet,

It was with great sadness that we read Richard's Obit! We hope the following brings some consolation:
SAFELY HOME
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus’ love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus’ arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely, For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth’s shadows, Pray to trust our Father’s Will.
There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth — You shall rest in Jesus’ land.
When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh, the joy to see you come!
..-—— Priests of the Sacred Heart

With our deepest sympathies,

Bob & Cookie

My deepest sympathy to the Damiani family...Mary ...I'm the Stumpster...I'm sure you have heard that before...anyway Rick had a way of giving his friends nicknames and everytime I saw him and talked to him on the phone he would always say...."where's the mugster".. another nick for our mutual friend Mike....man am I going to miss that...Rick never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Its only been a couple months since that last time we were fishing together. How fragile life is. My best to you and your family.

Rick's passing has deeply saddened us. It is hard to find the "right" words to say at this time. Faith comforts us in knowing God has
called him home,his work is finished here.He is no longer ill. Faith tells us you will be reunited with him at some future day.Still,the grief for his loved ones left behind is painful.
From reading the condolences on this page it is obvious Rick was loved and will be mourned by many.He touched a lot of lives. Perhaps this poem sums him up and may it bring some comfort to your spirit at this sad time.

Not how did he die,but how did he live?
Not what did he gain,but what did he give?
These are the units to measure the worth
Of a man as a man,regardless of birth.

Not what was his church,nor what was his creed?
But had he befriended those really in need?

Was he ever ready with word of good cheer,
To bring back a smile,to banish a tear?
Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
But how many were sorry when he passed away?

Take comfort in knowing many,many people are sharing in your grief today. Rest In Peace Rick. We will miss you.
