William J. Yetter, Jr., a lifelong resident of West Bradford Twp., died on Febraury 27, 2016. He was the husband of Janet Dague Yetter and the son of the late William J. and Christina H. Yetter. 
Bill worked in Engineering at the former Lukens Steel Co. for 27 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Amphibious Order of the Frogs, the VFW and a life member of the West Caln Sportsmen's Club, he coached the Junior Rifle Team. Bill was also a certified NRA instructor for the Hunter Safety Course for ages 12 and older. He was an avid hunter. He loved reading western authors and watching John Wayne movies. He was artistic and enjoyed working with ceramics as well as working in oil and water color on canvas. 

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Janet, a son Gary W. of Wynnewood, a daughter, Donna K. Barnes (James) of Coatesville, a daughter Nancy E. Abingdon, MD, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren a brother Ronald (Joyce) of Coatesville, a sister Carlene Huyard of Reading and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Loran. 
Bill graduated from West Chester High School in 1942. He served in the US Army from March 1943 to December of 1945 in the European Theater under General Patton. He received the French Honored WWII medal on April 23, 2006. Bill liked to travel and enjoyed many trips to Nova Scotia, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Alaska and especially the trip to Spain when his daughter, Nancy, studied in Barcelona during her junior year. 

Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Upper Octorara Cemetery, 1121 Octorara Trail, Parkesburg, PA.
