Samuel H. Tracy Jr., 92, of Cochranville, passed away at his home on Monday, January 7, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Samuel and Sara Cochran Tracy Sr.
He was born in Homeville and spent most his life in the Cochranville area. He was a self employed electrician and a retired truck driver for Matlack Oil Company in West Chester. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Oxford.
He enjoyed the outdoors including, hunting, fishing, gardening, and all his tractors. He was a good ballplayer and played for the Coatesville LGM and Andrews Bridge teams. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
He is survived by three children, Donna Garrett of Cochranville, Myrl Ward of Nottingham, and Harry Tracy formerly of Cochranville, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and siblings, Richard Tracy of Dover, DE, Joyce Darnel of Arizona, and Nancy Delp of Newark, DE.
He was preceded in death by a son Robert Tracy, and siblings, Charles "Butch" Tracy, John Paul Tracy, Mildred "Peg" Wadell and Betty Tracy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday, January 14, 2019, at 11:00am from the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg, with visitation from 10:00am until time of service. Interment will follow in Homeville Friends Burial Grounds in Homeville.
