Robert I. Polk

Robert I. Polk, 84, of West Bradford Township, passed away on Friday, October 12th, 2018 under the care of VNA Hospice of Philadelphia with his beloved wife of 53 years, Virginia (Murphey) Polk, by his side.  

Born in Coatesville, Robert was the son of the late Helen (Elvin) and Arthur M. Polk Sr.  He was a graduate of the Coatesville School System.  Robert served honorably with the US Army.  

He was a member of Fallowfield Friends Meeting and attended Parkesburg Methodist Church.  He was a Past Master of the Doe Run Grange, and a member of the Brandywine-Goddard Lodge, No. 383 F.& A.M.  

Robert worked for Acme Markets for 43 years.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, by his brother, Arthur M. Polk, Jr., husband of Doris, of East Fallowfield, sister Janet P. Morris of Hilton Head, S.C., and Virginia P. Alber of Spring Hill, FL.

At Robert's request, there will be no funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Fallowfield Friends Meeting, 800 Doe Run Road, Coatesville, PA 19320, or Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 Main St, Parkesburg, PA 19365.  

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.
