Richard M. "Rick" Schenk

Richard M. "Rick" Schenk, 59, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Harrisburg. He was the husband of Deborah Charsha Schenk. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of Richard R. Schenk and Phyllis Bair Schenk of Parkesburg. 
Rick was an area resident all his life and a 1973 graduate of the Octorara High School. He was employed as a machinist, for many years, in the family business at the Schenk Metal Fabricating Company of Parkesburg.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived, in addition to his wife and parents, by six children; Heather Charsha, Amanda Schenk, Melissa Schenk, Harmony Tahmalwash, Jacob Schenk and Deborah Schenk, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and three siblings; Elisa Nickel, Eric Schenk and Pastor Kurt Schenk. 

Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at the Upper Octorara Cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to attend visitation from 10 to 11am.
