Retta L. Miller

Retta L. Miller, 92, of Wagontown, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the Brandywine Hospital. She was the widow of the late David Edgar Miller, who died in 2006. Born in Battle Creek, NE, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Phoebe Cornett Grubb.

Retta graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Coatesville School of Nursing in 1942 and was employed by the Visiting Nurses' Assoc.

She loved sewing, gardening, crocheting and was she was an immaculate housekeeper.

She is survived by three daughters: Marsha, wife of Donald Tillman of West Caln, Constance, wife of Barry Ford of Watsontown, PA and Patricia Miller of Marshalton, PA, one foster son, William Biddle, who has two daughters and two grandchildren. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one sister, Kathleen Owens of Rising Sun, MD. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by two grandchildren and four brothers.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main Street, Parkesburg, with visitation from 10 to 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice. Interment will be private.
