Ralph H. "Bud" Wallace, 87, of Westwood, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Nelson Wallace, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Roy M. and Alice Crandall Wallace. An area resident his entire life, Bud was a 1940 graduate of Scott High School. He entered the US Army in 1943 and served across Europe during WWII with the 348th Quartermaster Depot and was awarded five Bronze Battle Stars. After the War, he was employed by the Lukens Steel Co. for 33 and a half years , retiring as an Inspector in 1983. He was a member of the V.F.W. of Gap and he was an active member of the Coatesville Bible Fellowship and Gideons.
Bud is survived, in addition to his wife, by one daughter, Kathleen C. Dilworth, wife of Lawrence Dilworth Jr. of Downingtown; two granddaughters, Mary E. and Courtney L. Dilworth and his siblings, Rev. Roy Wallace of Ashland, OH, Dorothy Mae Anderson of Honey Brook and Elaine Smith of New Holland.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Coatesville Bible Fellowship, 6 North 4th Ave., Coatesville, followed by interment in the Pequea Presbyterian Cemetery of Gap. Family and friends are also invited to attend the viewing, which will be held at the Church from 10 until 11 AM.
