Peter Suhobrus, 69, of Gap, died at his home on Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Pete G. and Eleanor Golish Suhobrus. Peter attended the Coatesville Schools and then entered the US Navy from 1959 to 1963. He was employed by Lukens Steel co. as a Welder retiring in 2004 with 42 years of service.


He was a member of the Westwood and West End Fire companies. He owned and operated his own drag racing car and he was a big NASCAR fan.


He is survived by his former wife of 30 years, Shirley Rice Suhobrus Winters of Coatesville, two sons; Steven Suhobrus and companion Helen of Gap and Gary Suhobrus and wife Debbie also of Gap, three grandchildren and one brother Joseph Suhobrus of Lancaster.


Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 11:00 am from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St. Parkesburg, PA followed by interment at Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery. Viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

Mom (Marcella Johnson) and I were deeply saddened by your families loss.
Pete was such a sweet guy and will be missed alot. I would see him alot at the eye doctor and always made me chuckle. Deepest sympany.
